| Description: | The Distribution Center Receiving Technician receives incoming freight and is responsible for verifying the accuracy and integrity of incoming shipments, as well as putting the shipments away in their proper location. The Technician also pulls stock and loads the stock on the Stock Truck for Branches' Needs Lists. Position is labor intensive and requires regularly lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 160 pounds. Work environment may be stressful at times as work levels fluctuate. |
| Duties: | Receives all incoming freight and inspects for damage notifying supervisor of any damage. Verifies shipment accuracy and completeness by visual inspection and comparison to packing slip. Signs and dates all packing slips, and places them in the documents bin in Receiving. Puts away all freight, rotating stock and placing product labels facing outward. When receiving freight addressed to a specific AHC employee, takes the package(s) to the Mail Room package table, and contacts the employee to notify them of its arrival |
| Qualifications: | High school diploma or equivalent. Previous shipping or warehouse experience, along with medical equipment experience, strongly preferred. Must pass a physical abilities test and a drug screen.
