Description:

This position is responsible for establishing best practice policies, procedures and protocols for the management of electronic and paper medical records for home health, durable medical equipment, home infusion therapy and respiratory therapy.  This position is responsible for the retention, destruction and HIPAA practices to ensure that our company practices meet regulatory, payor and licensure requirements.  The position is responsible for monitoring compliance with medical records standards and developing action oriented solutions to ensure proper management of medical records.

Must have RHIA license (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT license (Registered Health Information Technician)   

 

 

Qualifications:

Must have RHIA license (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT license (Registered Health Information Technician)  Associates or Bachelors Degree required.  Experience working in a healthcare environment preferrably in home care or hospital setting a plus.  Specific experience in managing and directing medical records is preferred.
